Thank You for a Spooktacular OctoBOOfest 2009!

Thanks to the nearly 300 members and guests who attended our OctoBOOfest Saturday night!

There may have been ghosts in the air, but we didn’t care. Club One kids enjoyed ghoulish games and the Scooby-Doo jumpy, while parents and friends mingled by the fire pit. The best part of the night was when more than 70 of our little witches, goblins, superheroes and princesses paraded around the pool decked in Halloween flair!

We’d like to thank Beyond the Glory for a delicious menu, Roche Winery for pouring tastings of their wonderful wine selection, and DJ Joe Pizzio for keeping the music rolling the entire spooktacular evening!

We enjoyed spending time with you and look forward to more opportunities to come. Please mark your calendars for the next event, a special member potluck on Sunday, November 15th. We hope to see you there!

Acupuncture

Acupuncture treats the person by creating internal harmony. All wellness–spiritual, physical, and emotional, depends on this balance of energy.

For over 3,000 years, acupuncture has been used to heal people from disease and pain due to imbalances. The goal is to work with the body by strengthening or harmonizing the qi (pronounced chi), or the life force energy. Acupuncture allows the normal flow of qi and restores health.
From a Western perspective, studies have shown that acupuncture stimulates the production of endorphins and seratonin, biochemicals which can be lacking in many disorders including depression and pain.

Treatments

  • Wellness
  • Weight loss
  • Pain relief
  • Stress/Anxiety
  • Women’s Health
  • Insomnia

What to Expect
A diagnosis is determined by hearing your story, feeling pulses on your wrists and examining your tongue. Then according to your condition, thin needles are gently inserted while resting comfortably on a massage table for about 30 minutes, listening to calming music. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing.

About the Acupuncturist
Cindy Riggs, L.Ac., MSTCM is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist in the State of California. She received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco in 2003. She earned a BA in Philosophy from the University of
