Overview
PMAX is a unique 10-week cardiovascular training program that has delivered life-changing levels of energy and fitness for hundreds of participants.
This program works for anyone -- including those who are new to training or inactive. Everyone works together and learns proper technique. No one gets left behind!
Our talented coaches will lead you through an exciting physical and mental shift that can bring more energy to all dimensions of your life. The average PMAX participant, who regularly attends, sees a 15-30% increase in sustainable power over the first 10 weeks. These improvements are driven by increased strength and oxygen delivery. You will feel the changes while training, working and playing.
The PMAX program incorporates five training components, each with a specific goal:
- Spinning®: indoor cycling for leg strength and cardiovascular efficiency
- Performance Cycling: computerized cycling for performance measurement
- Concept2® Rowing: stationary rowing for overall strength and cardiovascular efficiency
- Active-Isolated Stretching: advanced stretching for flexibility
- Core Training: strengthening for the abdominal, lower back and oblique muscles for total body power
The PMAX team also provides a nutrition lecture and nutritional guidance to complement the training.
What Makes PMAX Different?
PMAX is personalized. Training is geared to YOUR fitness level. All new participants are given a VO2 test to establish their heart rate training zones. Your personal training zones guide your training intensity throughout the program. Our coaches become familiar with you and provide individualized guidance to help you reach your goals.
PMAX is progressive. The intensity increases gradually and steadily to improve your fitness systematically over the 10 weeks.
PMAX is periodized. The 10 weeks are broken into training phases that develop different aspects of your fitness: cardiovascular foundation, functional strength and athletic performance.
