Jim Mizes

President and Chief Executive Officer

Jim Mizes oversees the executive team in all aspects of operations, management, sales and development. He oversees all Club One and Frog’s Fitness sites and managed sites for the company. Prior to Club One, Mr. Mizes served as president of Noah’s Bagels, where he was instrumental in growing the company from 10 to 100 locations, as well as serving in senior management and operational positions at Jamba Juice, where he was instrumental in growing the company from 50 to 350 sites. He also held executive positions at Taco Bell, Greyhound and Hunt-Wesson. Mr. Mizes holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a master's in business administration from UCLA.



Bill McBride

Chief Operating Officer

Bill McBride manages all aspects of commercial club operations for Club One and Frog's Fitness. His charter is to consistently improve operational standards and the quality of Club One and Frog’s Fitness’ sites and delivery systems. He has an extensive background in the industry, including serving as senior vice president, sales and business development at Sport & Health. Mr. McBride holds a bachelor's in business administration from East Carolina University. He is a regular presenter at industry conventions including, IHRSA and Club Industry, and is a contributing faculty member to Club Success magazine.

 

Carey White

Chief Financial Officer

Carey White joined Club One in 2004, his fourth CFO assignment. He has served in a variety of industries on three continents and has diverse functional experience in professional services. logistics, new product development, and early-stage sales as well as finance and technology. Mr. White is the former corporate controller of KPMG, where his organization included more than 500 personnel. His role as CFO of Club One includes management responsibility for finance, IT, member services, and product development. He holds a bachelor's from Stanford and a master's in business administration from Harvard.


 

 Scott Landgraf

 Chief Development Officer

Scott Landgraf manages Club One’s commercial club development efforts including site identification for new clubs and development of branded and managed Club One or Frog’s Fitness clubs. He is responsible for all developer relationships and expanding the Club One footprint. Prior to Club One, Mr. Landgraf was Director of Sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services in New York City and held executive marketing and business development positions at Acquisition Intermediary Group, Salira Optical Network Systems and Landgraf Inc. He has over 15 years experience in Real Estate Development and Commercial Construction. Mr. Landgraf graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems and Business Management and has Real Estate Licenses in Colorado and New York.


 

Robin Klaus

Chairman

Robin Klaus drives the Board of Director in terms of strategy, finance and shareholder communications. His experience encompasses executive management positions including president and chief operating officer of fitness manufacturer Star Trac, current chairman of Planet Fitness, a health and fitness club company with operations in Singapore, and former chairman of American Sports Institute, a non-profit educational organization based in Marin County. Mr. Klaus currently serves on the board of directors of Napa Sonoma Summer Search. Mr. Klaus holds a bachelor's in international relations from American University, a master's in international economics from University of Pittsburgh and a master's in business administration from Stanford.

 

Henry Hirschel

Director of Information Technology

Henry Hirschel is responsible for managing Club One's technology infrastructure. His directive is to implement innovative systems and procedures that support the company's continued expansion. Prior to joining Club One, Inc., Mr. Hirschel was director of IT at Jamba Juice, where he introduced Jamba's first value-add debit card technology. Mr. Hirschel has also influenced the infrastructures of PowerBar and Starbucks Coffee, and has an extensive background in social services and non-profit organizations. A frequent speaker at leadership and technology conferences, Mr. Hirschel holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's in educational psychology, a master's degree in business administration in accounting/management, and is presently a doctorate candidate in operations and technology management.

 

Robyn VanDerLuit

Vice President, Worksite Health and Fitness

Robyn VanDerLuit joined Club One in 1994 when the company had one corporate management contract. During the past 12 years with the organization, Ms. VanDerLuit has built a high performance management team and operational infrastructure to support and manage more than 70 corporate management contracts for the Worksite Health & Fitness division. She has extensive experience building, developing and inspiring diverse employee groups to work at their maximum levels. Her previous experience includes working for Reebok, the 49er Charity Organization and Club Corporation of America. Ms. VanDerLuit received a bachelor's from San Jose State University in business management/recreation.


 

Thomas Nelson

Vice President, Community Centers

Tom Nelson brings 15 years of management experience working with client partners in the areas of commercial, corporate, municipal, university and community center health and fitness facilities and wellness programs. In his current role, Mr. Nelson oversees the membership & fitness operations, account management, and new business for Club One’s community center service and consulting contracts. Over the past 5+ years Mr. Nelson has been integral in helping Club One build strong partnerships and developing best practices specific to operating successful community centers. Club One has thus immerged as the leading provider in community center fitness and membership management. He joined Club One in 1999 as a multi-state regional manager for Club One’s Worksite Health & Fitness division. Mr. Nelson holds his bachelor's and master's degrees in Kinesiology from San Jose State University.
